Sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that there is a broad consensus within the party in favour of pulling out of the alliance. “Many leaders have spoken out. There is a unanimous view that Congress should withdraw from the alliance. The meeting is still in progress,” they said The leaders are also averse to contesting the risky seat being offered to the party for Rajya Sabha polls.
